Feather Light

This scene of a swan preening its feathers really caught my eye because of the dramatic, yet very soft, back-lighting.  I love painting a white swan without a single "white" feather.  See how I created this painting on my blog.  A big thank you to photographer Paul Sawford for the use of his image!
